A local SEO checklist for Wichita Falls businesses
The practical checks that keep a Google Business Profile accurate, complete, and useful to customers.
Start with the Google Business Profile, not the website
The business listing appears prominently in many local searches. Incorrect information there can undercut otherwise strong website work.
- Primary category set to what you actually do, not the closest sounding option
- Services listed individually rather than in one paragraph
- Hours correct, including holidays
- Photos added on a schedule. A listing that has not changed since 2019 reads as closed
- Every review answered, especially the bad ones
Make the name, address and phone identical everywhere
Website footer, Google, Facebook, the chamber directory, old listings you forgot about. “Suite 3” in one place and “Ste 3” in another is not fatal, but a phone number from two providers ago is.
Give every service its own page
One page listing eight services competes for nothing. Eight pages each answering one question compete for eight things. This is the single biggest structural fix on most local sites.
Write titles a human would click
- One H1 per page that says what the page is
- Title tags written per page, not generated from a pattern
- Descriptions that read like a sentence, not a keyword list
Add schema, once, properly
LocalBusiness markup with your real address, phone and hours lets search engines read the business rather than guess at it. It is a one-time job that stays done.
Then check the boring things
- Does it load fast on a phone on a weak connection?
- Is the phone number tappable on mobile?
- Does the contact form actually deliver? Test it yourself.
- Is there an SSL certificate?
Willfully Digital can run this list against the public business information and explain the findings. That is what the Strategy Review is for. We prepare the findings before the meeting, and you keep the list.
